wanna cuddle?
I love this outfit. It is simple. Without distractions. No cartoons. No subliminal messages telling us that Jude should be an 'all-star' or the 'mvp' or be a part of the 'puppy pound.' I like simple. It's refreshing. Now, if only they could invent a diaper without a cartoon show running across the panel...

tuesday morning walk at the bog
i love my bath...
i love the bubbles, i love playing with jude's camoflauge rubber duckie, i love staying in the tub until my skin gets all wrinkly, i love the way my hair feels when it swirls in the water, i love singing at the top of my lungs because my ears are under water and i can't hear how loud i really am, i like the shark bath toys that expand and get really big, i like to pretend i am a mermaid. i tell my mom and dad i don't EVER want to take a bath and i pout all the way to the tub, but once i'm there, it's hard to get me out!

a couple of mixed up quotes
just a few things jeneva has said recently:
"When the boys come over they hout and sholler too much!"
"Are you happy that I didn't cuss and fry when it was time to leave?"
I hope you are able to figure out what she meant to say or this post will sound rather odd.

guilty...
A week ago I was upstairs with Jude. Jeneva was downstairs 'playing.' Or so I thought. I came down the stairs to find my favorite and most lush plant destroyed. This is what's left of it. Not so lush anymore. The leaves were one by one plucked off and then torn in to multiple pieces. She made a very nice little path through the dining room and in to the living room. I'm still not sure of the motive behind this. I was not a happy or even very proud mom at this point. I am very thankful though that the Lord gave me the self control to exhibit grace to my four year old. Everything in me was screaming "what were you thinking!" I calmly (with a red face) asked her to pick up each and every piece and go to her room for some time to think about what she just did. I do not always react this way in situations such as this. A week later we are still nursing our beloved plant back to health and will continue to do so until she is back in full bloom.
ladies craft night
My dear friend Jenna has been hosting "ladies craft nights" monthly. A few weeks ago we made aprons like the one I am 'sporting' in the picture (obviously taken by the four year old in our house). Today I am wearing it. Quite handy those pockets are! I have way too many crafty/artistic friends. It puts me to shame, but it's fun!
i love brown!
monday's go like...
